A Hyperfoil is a high-performance electric hydrofoiling vehicle with wings to fly above the water.

The key difference between Valo and a jetski is that Valo is a hydrofoil vehicle. That means it has wings under the water that lift the hull out of the water, allowing it to be very fast while also using very little energy. It also unlocks unsurpassed agility and control that is not possible on a jetski.
Valo is also electric, so it is incredibly quiet and sustainable.

A standard personal watercraft is a fiberglass bathtub with a piston engine. The Valo Hyperfoil is a high-performance, semi-autonomous electric aircraft with advanced battery systems, wings, control surfaces, actuators, sensors, computers and electronics. So naturally all that stuff costs a bit more.

The Valo Hyperfoil is being built in our workshop in Alameda, California, with parts being made in cutting edge facilities in the the United States, UK and New Zealand.

The Valo Hyperfoil is made from a range of cutting edge modern materials including high modulus carbon fiber composites, titanium, and ultra high strength stainless steels. The seat is vegan leather.

Skyride is our proprietary flight control and stability system that measures the position, state and behavior of the vehicle and then computes where to position each of the control surfaces and flaps, all 100 times persecond.

The Valo Hyperfoil is classified as a PWC, and boating rules vary state to state. In California, for example, a California Boaters Card is required to ride Valo.
Included in every Valo purchase is a half day safety and vehicle operations training course. -
